PIHMA is thrilled to bring back QiGong to our Community Movement Class schedule this fall, August 5th through December 20th. Kat Myers, PIHMA Student and Acupuncture Intern, Certified QiGong Instructor and Registered Yoga Teacher, will teach both Acu-Yoga and QiGong classes at PIHMA’a campus. Traditional Chinese Medicine places an importance on moving your qi to harmonize the functions of the organs. The refined and healing practice of Acu-Yoga, a gentle blending of Yoga, Acupressure, QiGong, Foot Fitness, Sound and Centering, will strengthen your bones, nourish your joints and move your qi. Acu-Yoga classes are offered every Monday from 11:00am to 12:00pm for $10 drop in rate or 5 classes for $30. QiGong focuses on the philosophy of aligning breath, physical activity and awareness for mental, spiritual and corporeal health. Combined with gentle stretching, Kat’s QiGong class is a great way to unwind, center and relax. QiGong classes are held every Friday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm for free or for donation applied toward No Kill Arizona, a local movement dedicated to education, motivation and truth regarding the death of countless animals in shelters. All classes are open to the public and appropriate for all levels of adventurers. Are you ready to get deep?
Certified Yamuna Body Rolling Practitioner Kat Myers has been teaching Yoga since 1989 and training Yoga teachers since 1996. She has degrees Occupational Therapy and Psychology. Kat is currently pursing her Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture at PIHMA. Kat uniquely blends Anatomy, Alignment, Meridian Theory and Acupressure into a Radically Dynamic approach to Conscious Living, Self Health Care and Inner Fitness. Kat is Grateful to all of her teachers.
