This unique seminar is created by PIHMA’s Center for Professional Education & Development.
In this seminar participants will learn the diagnostic tools and methods used by the Western medical physician to determine underlying pathologies and develop treatment strategies and formulate prognosis. Laboratory method including radiology and imaging, physical exam and standard medical protocols will be studied and demonstrated with the objective of training the student to understand the language and process of patient assessment, and make judgment based on those assessments for responsible medical referral and/or follow up care of patients.

Kathy is currently an Oriental Medicine student at PIHMA College & Clinic. She has been a practicing Physician’s Assistant for 21 years and worked in Radiation Oncology for the last 14 years. Kathy has a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State and received her Physician’s Assistant training from Kettering College in Kettering, OH.
